It is a unique, one of a kind bowl that can be used as a great center piece on your table or even as the bowl for that special dog in your family.

I get most of my wood as a log from naturally fallen trees in friend's and families' yards. The logs are kept in a dry space for 4 - 6 months to dry and then I cut them into usable sized blanks and turn them on my lathe in my small shop.

This bowl comes from a Cottonwood tree that fell at a friend's place near Headingly, MB.

Turning bowls on the lathe produces a real feel of Aiki (blending or harmonizing with "Ki" - that universal life energy). More so than most of the other items I turn on a lathe.
