Handmade solid oak shoehorn. The shape has a slight curve for ease of use with a tip that is shaped to fit nicely between the bottom of the heel and shoe. It is approximately 20"/50cm long and 1-3/4"/2.5cm wide.

These are made by cutting a rough shape out on the bandsaw and then the curves added carefully with hand chisels and sanding.

I first came across the long shoehorn like these while I was in Japan a dozen years ago. Just about everyone had these available on hand for use, though they were not as common here in Canada (mostly just the short 15 cm lengths).
