This original hand turned segmented bowl is made with Walnut, Sapele and Maple. A beautiful decorative piece as a gift or for yourself to appreciate every day.

There are 130 handmade segments and 7 rings. Each ring requires meticulous calculations and planning to ensure a good circle with the correct diameter. All pieces are carefully assembled on the lathe and turned to its final shape.

Turning bowls on the lathe produces a real feel of Aiki (blending or harmonizing with "Ki" - that universal life energy). More so than most of the other items I turn on a lathe.

Dimensions:
10-1/2" (26.5 cm) diameter,
4-1/2" (11.5 cm) tall, and
weighs about 650 g
