Shoehorn 30" with a Walk in the Woods

An ideal ergonomic length to help you slide into your shoes. When you need that extra reach to get your shoes on, a 30" long shoehorn is perfect.
This long shoehorn is handmade from Ash with Cherry laminated on to the handle. It has wonderful images of a Douglas Fir tree and various footprints to follow through the woods. This image is done with Pyrography (i.e.: wood burning) and then the entire shoehorn is varnished for protection and strength.
The shape has a slight curve for ease of use, with a tip that is shaped to fit nicely between the bottom of the heel and shoe.
It is approximately 30-1/2" / 78cm long and 2" / 5 cm wide.
This is made by cutting a rough shape out on the bandsaw and then the curves added carefully with hand chisels and sanding.
I first came across a long shoehorn while in Japan a dozen years ago as just about everyone had these available for use. Though, they definitely available here in Canada, the longer ones are not as common (we mostly come across just the short 15 cm lengths).
