Tea Canister - Ash & Sapele w/ Tea Leaves

A handmade wooden tea canister or an ideal little container for your precious items like rings, coins, pins or even your marbles.
This is a Japanese styled wooden Tea Canister made from Ash with a red Sapele ring. Hand turned on the lathe from one piece of wood to accentuate the grain design with a segment of Sapele for a beautiful contrast.
Green Tea Leaves are burned on the the canister and then it was finished with a clear shellac.
The Ash was ethically harvested from fallen trees in local areas. Cut, shaped and finished in my small shop at home.
Because there are many different types and flavours of teas, from green to black, you need a unique tea canister to properly store your favourites. My favourite is a Japanese green tea known as Genmaicha.
