The Box Elder is part of the Maple tree family, but is distinctive because of its amazing colours and grain patterns. The knots, lines, colours and cracks all come together to present a wonderful piece that is meant to be added to your collection.
This beautiful unique designed vase is handmade by me in my small shop at home in Winnipeg. The wood for comes from a Box Elder Maple tree that fell in a friends backyard. It is turned on a lathe to get it's shape and a chisel is used to carve in the texture.
