Made from a Oak tree that fell in our friends back yard. This bowl is 9" wide and 3-1/2" deep. The grain, bark and colours show off the unique features of this once beautiful tree.
Fill it with your favourite fruits or vegetables. Makes an ideal gift for that special friend of family member (hint: fifth anniversary gift is "wood").
Turning a bowl on the lathe has that special energy which comes from working with wood. This is where the feeling of Aiki is the greatest. There is a lot of enjoyment as the wood chips are flying and the pile on the floor is growing. Then the finish, as what once was a beautiful tree is now a wonder bowl.
